Sourdough Rye

We naturally leaven our rye and mix in caraway most often, although sometimes without to keep the anti-caraway folks at bay.

Our rye bread is a mix of flours with a majority of fresh milled rye, some fresh milled whole wheat, and bread flour to round out the dough. This yields a softer and less dense bread while keeping the rye flavor up front.

The rye contains some honey so isn’t strictly vegan.
